Technically, this is just glass. They just tumble it and shape it as if it were a rock. Pretty, I have beads and such made from it, but it is just glass. You will also see Goldstone (just the same as this, with an orange base rather than blue) or Opalite, pale translucent blue with a shimmer somewhat similar to true Opals, also often being passed off as a semiprecious stone, but again it’s just glass.
