If you’re on the PC, I have the answer for you. Convenient Horses, which is one of the BEST MODS EVER. In addition to allowing your followers to ride horses, (up to 15 of them, if you have mods that increase the number of followers you can have. But zombies do not count, if you have any dead thralls) it gives you a horse whistle if your horse should run off during combat or something and you lose it, it allows you to adjust your horses stats, if you want your horse to have more health, speed, endurance, or whatever, or you can just set it to essential, you can select between a number of armor styles for your horse if you so desire, you can talk to people and pick herbs from horseback, and there is a ‘quick dismount’ that makes you leap off your horse if combat is initiated, so you con’t have to slowly climb down while a bear’s trying to rip your face off.

Wow. Somebody TOTALLY missed the point… Just a hint, maybe you shouldn’t believe everything the Nords say about the Dunmer (or any of the mer races). Nords are living a life of complete privilege in Skyrim, opportunities are far more abundant for the Nords, and the Dunmer have to work twice as hard for half as much.

An international team of scientists has discovered the biggest known structure in the universe—and it would take a vehicle traveling at the speed of light 4 billion years to cross it. The structure is a large quasar group—a collection of supermassive black holes which form a single, massive structure—and it is huge. It’s made up of seventy-three quasars, and is over four billion light-years across at its widest point. For some perspective, that distance is 1,600 times larger than the distance between our galaxy, the Milky Way, and its nearest neighbor, the Andromeda Galaxy.

If you’re on PC, there’s a mod that can fix that: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6002 This mod will also give you a body if you look down in first person mode and will change the animations, removing the swords etc from being visible all the time, and your camera will move/bob more in first person, so… you may not want that. You can also modify the skeleton files manually to adjust the camera height, but you’ll have to redo it if you play a character of another race. I used to do this, and can’t remember the exact process, but it’s possible. I hated looking out of my Altmer’s chest.

An Experimental Question

What would you like to see from DC and Marvel in the year 2013?
From both, but especially Marvel - I want fewer crossovers and events. DC is better about it because when they do a crossover type thing, you generally don’t have to buy all parts to follow it. But I really want the books I follow to stay as self contained as possible. I am fine with guest appearances, but when a story begins spilling into multiple books I get frustrated and I am more liable to drop a book for the duration of the crossover than pick up more. In Marvel right now this very second, Thor: God of Thunder is far and away my favorite book, and part of why is that it is self contained. It does not rely on any of the AvX stuff and I think it would severely damage my enjoyment of the book if it was dragged into a crossover. At DC, I love Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire both, but I’ve ended up putting Swamp Thing and Animal Man on the back burner until Rotworld is finished. I waited until Court of Owls was finished before reading that. I just don’t have the patience anymore to juggle multiple books with an interconnecting story, it frustrates me. (I am reading Death of the Family as it comes out though) I think I am in the minority here, though, since I know crossovers generally mean a bump in sales, but… I would be perfectly fine if the shared universe was done away with and each character or family of characters got their own little universe that they could have a bigger impact on. But I know that will never happen with the big 2.
I have seen some telltale signs of editorial meddling in DC’s books in particular, and I’d like them to ease up on that. I understand the need for editors to keep things running smoothly in a shared universe, and I get that the writers are dealing with company toys, and the company has the final say in how the characters are used, and they absolutely should be able to approve/veto stories. But I feel they’ve been going too far in a lot of cases, and often in pointless and stupid ways.
There are some pre-New52 characters that I would like to see again. Secret Six is a big one. Also some Wildstorm characters like Jackson King (and Christine along with him), Hellstrike, Winter, TAO (and please, aside from TAO, obviously, don’t make them villains like happened with Grunge, Fuji and Warblade)
I want the Authority characters, but especially Engineer, Apollo and Midnighter, to be fixed. DC wants to know why Stormwatch is failing right now? I think a large part is because of the way the characters have been written wildly out of character (and their appearances (and powers) changed in pointless ways. Midnighter’s coat, Apollo’s hair and halo, Jack’s hands and eyes). They’ve lost the aspects people liked about them, they’re the same characters in name only, and people are dropping it because they don’t recognize the characters they liked, and to be frank the new versions aren’t engaging enough to attract very many new fans. I am sure this can be said of a lot of DC characters as well, but I was more of a Wildstorm fan, and they were favorites of mine.

I know this will mean nothing to a lot of the people who follow me. but oh well… In Avengers Alliance on Facebook, they have a limited time event to get Valkyrie, you use that purple goo to do the missions in the event. Every day there is a roulette for a prize. I’ve never gotten the 1000 goo (or anything good in this event) Today is the last day, and NOW I land 1000 goo. Of course. After I’ve already had Valkyrie for like a week, and thre’s no way I’ll be able to burn through it all. So I respun. Costs 5 gold but that prize is worthless to me. Got 10 gold, score! Exit the spin… and I still have the 1000 purple goo in addition to the gold. :p

So, not only are they ripping off my art, they’re billing it as an ‘original oil painting’ when it didn’t even start out as an oil painting, it’s (mostly) digital. I would assume they’re doing this with other art as well, yet they still somehow have a 100% rating? Are people really fooled by computer printouts on canvas? I’d suggest people take a look at the rest of their items and see if there’s anything you recognize, if you do, notify the artist in some way (eBay only accepts infringement notifications from the copyright holders or those authorized to act on their behalf)

Spirit’s sister rover, Opportunity, lives on and still returns incredible science, a feat that mission scientists will continue for some time. “Every day is a gift at this point,” said rover mission principal investigator Steve Squyres, of Cornell University, said last month at the annual fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union. “We’re just going to push the rover, and push ourselves, as hard as we can.”

You know what hypocrisy is? Calling your party pro-life but doing absolutely nothing to protect lives that exist already. Proposing, backing and passing legislation that kills people, and flat out refusing to back anything that would help others if it’s politically inconvenient.
Also I wanted to add that just because an actor ‘kills’ someone while playing a role, doesn’t mean they are endorsing violence. Movies have bad guys who kill lots of people, and the message of the film as a whole may very well be anti-violence, but actors are still needed to fill the roles of the villains. It doesn’t mean the actors agree with their character’s actions. Of course, some movies do celebrate violence, but I think they are relatively rare, if someone’s dying it’s usually at the hands of a villain who the heroes are trying to stop.
Somewhat related, The script for Kent is (finally) coming together and will be ready to be drawn soon. Lemme tell ya, it’s pretty fucking violent. We’ve got a child being shot through the neck, people being stabbed, etc. That doesn’t mean the story is celebrating violence. Sometimes with a story that has a message behind it, you have to show what you’re opposed to.
