This sequence made me feel just like I did at that moment in Castaway when Wilson floats away. Gram. Poor Gram. Yes, it was an inanimate object, but dammit. On the other hand, it really shows Loki’s mindset in the moment, since he could have, you know, removed all of Thor’s fingers with a single thought.
I actually don’t know why more people aren’t talking about Gram being destroyed. That is a HUGE blow to Loki, it seemed like it was becoming as much a part of him as Mjolnir is to Thor, and then, *snap* it’s gone. But I suppose it can be reforged, assuming Verity runs out to the street and picks up the pieces for him.
