Japan isn’t the only industrialized country walking away from previously stated climate goals. Australia and Canada are emerging as strong opponents of more aggressive climate action and are likely to come up short on their commitments to reduce their emissions.

There is no time.

Being Canadian, this is a source of embarrassment for me. The Conservatives are fucking over the country but good, in terms of both climate and foreign policy (among other things, but those are the big ones) despite them not representing the views of the majority of Canadians. Thankfully though, their approval is currently sitting at just 24% after a series of colossal clusterfucks, so their days are numbered.
