Kodi Smit-McPhee cast as Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse
The “fuzzy elf” mutant with the ability to teleport, is headed back to the big screen! Director Bryan Singer just revealed that Kodi Smit-McPhee (you probably remember him from The Road, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or Let Me In) will play the charming Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse!Nightcrawler, created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, made his first comic book appearance in Giant Size X-Men #1 back in 1975 - film and comics enthusiastics will remember that Singer previously cast Alan Cumming as an older (and now parallel timeline) version of Nightcrawler in his X2 (how could we forget that awesome White House sequence, right?). Cameras will start rolling on the next mutant adventure in Montreal beginning in April.
