At least it’s back to being white on the cover for issue 10 of Stormwatch and Red Lanterns, so it’s getting better! But yeah… miss the long hair… :(

Peter Milligan, the writer behind DC Comics’ “Red Lanterns” and Vertigo’s “Hellblazer,” is adding a new monthly comic book series to his plate: the ongoing cosmic adventures of “Stormwatch.”
In Jim Lee’s Wildstorm Universe, the original “Stormwatch” was created in 1993 as a super-powered…
dunno if i should be relieved, or apprehensive. i’ll settle for tentatively optimistic.
i mean, it’s not like it can get worse. (right?)
You’d think not, but… I can’t deny being a bit worried, I have fears that, given his admitted unfamiliarity with Wildstorm, he will use to Cornell’s characterizations, and we will be right back to annoying knowitall Midnighter making clumsy and embarrassing passes at Apollo. Especially after I actually quite liked Jenkins’ first issue. Sure, light on plot, but the characters actually felt like themselves, (with the exception of Midnighter being all apologetic to Angie) he clearly knew them from Wildstorm pretty damn well, he even had Apollo’s pop culture fixation in there. It felt familiar, unlike the imposters in Cornell’s run, and the dialogue didn’t have me wincing. I think I would like to keep him, at least until he can get their characterizations settled, rather than go back to uncertainty. :p

OH BABY JESUS WHO WILL SAVE US FROM THE AWFUL TYRANNY OF AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE?!
As a Canadian, the backlash against healthcare in the States has always completely baffled me.
I was holding off a bit on embedding my blog, because i figured I’d have to do a lot of CSS tweaking to get it to work, or something… but nope. One line of code, and it works… I can’t believe how painless that was, I had to fight LJ to get it to embed when I had a pay account. I mean sure I think it could still use some CSS tweaking to make the titles stand out more and stuff, and I’d like to enable the Disqus comments… but can live without.
Just testing something, just figured out how I might be able to get Blogger to update from Tumblr, gotta see if it works. won’t work with LJ though. (Batman by Greg Capullo)
